In 1 Peter 1:3, Peter writes, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." There is ultimately no greater hope that we can obtain than from belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we hope in Jesus, it's a hope that has no expiration date and an eternal guarantee.
