Don't Miss Easter

He is risen!!! Easter marks the most important moment in human history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But for so many of us, like the early disciples, we miss it because of our own presuppositions and other mental roadblocks. In this message Pastor Ken urges us not to miss the greatest day in history and let the power of Christ flow through us!

Connecting Point: Evangelism

The fancy word used to describe God's heart for the world would be "evangelism." God desires that everyone come to a relationship with Him and he desires that His followers be a part of the process of introducing Him. It's our mission and our privilege to join God's work in this way. Let's decide today to share the love of Jesus with those around us because the cost of not following him is too high!

Connecting Point: Service

There's little else one could do to grow in their faith more than serving. It was one of the foundations of the ministry of Jesus and it's repeatedly commanded of us throughout the Scriptures. Serving the church and the world with the gifts God gave us not only helps us grow, but it connects us to the heart of the Father, and helps fulfill His mission on this earth. Wherever you're at in the journey, decide to give God a bit of what He's given you and just see what happens!

Connecting Point: Grow

In our spiritual lives we must never remain stagnant. If we're not growing, we're dying. Fortunately, we have some amazing tools to grow in our relationship with the Father. Scripture, prayer, fellowship, community, and giving are all ways to connect with the heart of God. If we're committed to growth as individuals our church will experience all it was meant to.

Connecting Point: Connection

Ken introduces our new message series, Connecting Point, by calling the church to unite and commit to each other. Being a Christ follower assumes deep connection with the Church that He gave his life for. Commit to connect to a church and watch as God blesses!

Starting Point: Decide

After the gospel is laid before us a response is demanded. Either this "good news" is a lie or it's the most powerful truth in history. In this message Pastor Ken urges us to act upon the gospel, to make a decision to move in God's direction. God has graciously invited us to be participants in His great continuing story and for us to enter eternal life in the here and now. But as with any gift we've ever received, if we don't open it, we can't enjoy it. Respond to the gospel today, it will change your life for eternity.

Starting Point: Salvation

The consequences of sin and death are too much for us to overcome. But by His grace, Jesus made a way for us to restore our relationship with God through His blood. The only thing God requires is for us to believe. How wonderful is His mercy! In this message, Pastor Ken walks us through the details of our salvation and encourages us to accept His glorious grace.

Starting Point: Sin

It's the three letter word that most of us in churches today would prefer we avoid altogether. It's much better for our personal freedoms if the topic remains "grace" or "forgiveness." But this week, Pastor Ken tackles the ugly word straight on. "Sin" lies at the root of the problem of humanity and the desperate need for a Savior. It's important that we address our sin and come to own it. Though grief and guilt are not feelings  God wants us to dwell in, it can be helpful at times to meditate on the weighty nature of what separates us from God. 

Starting Point: Beginnings

Everyone starts somewhere on their faith journey. Whether you're new to the faith or have been journeying with the Lord for decades we need to reengage our starting point to get back on course. When traveling a great distance, just a few degrees off our target will lead to a drastically different location. In this message Pastor Ken helps us start right by taking us back to the very beginning to discuss how it all started. When we pause to gaze at our Creator our lives begin to realign.

Be The Church: Extend Compassion

Concluding our "Be The Church" series, Pastor Ken unveils the third primary value tied to our church's mission--Extend Compassion. God has demonstrated tremendous compassion to us, His children, by sending His Son to die in our place. Because of His sacrifice, we're granted access to the Father and promised an eternity with Him in heaven. It is now our privileged response to act as extensions of God's compassion to the world around us. Through recognizing and meeting the needs around us and sharing the message of Jesus, God's compassion can spread like wildfire in our community and across the globe!
