Dear God: Your Kingdom Come

This week, Pastor Ken delivered a hard hitting message about raising the flag of God high and above the flags we tend to raise in our own lives. God's kingdom will come and His will is done when His reign starts first in our lives. We must surrender and give Him everything and when we do, we'll begin to see the fruit of His reign all over our lives!

Dear God: Our Father

This week Pastor Jim brought the message to us about the first part of the "Lord's Prayer." In this message Pastor Jim challenged us to look to the highest position, the highest place, and bow to the highest name in prayer. Pray is a powerful tool at our disposal and our faith depends on it!

Dear God: Teach Us To Pray

Starting a brand new message series on prayer using the Lord's prayer as a guide, Pastor Ken opens up the series with a great introduction on the power of prayer. Prayer is a crucial tool in our relationship with God and yet we often don't know how to use it. We at NPFCC desire to be a people that learn how to pray, listen, and respond, so join us for the next 6 weeks as we learn together how to communicate with the Almighty. 

Not A Fan: Week 6 (Wherever, Whenever, Whatever,)

Pastor Ken closes this 6 week series with a powerfully challenging message. Looking at the cost of following Jesus in Luke 9, Ken urges us to continue to follow Jesus wherever, whenever, and whatever direction He leads. Ultimately, following Jesus is worth whatever the cost because the hope of eternal life that begins now outweighs all else. Will we take up our crosses and follow Him today?

Not A Fan: Week 5 (More Than The Rules)

This week Pastor Ken delivers a message about the need to move beyond rules in our relationship with Jesus. It's easy for fans of Jesus to get a false sense of their devotion to Him by measuring their level of commitment by how many "laws" they obeyed in a given period of time. When you encounter Jesus, however, we learn that following Him goes beyond the rules and affects our minds, souls, and hearts. 

Not A Fan: Week 4 (The Cross)

This week's hard hitting message from Pastor Ken offers a glimpse into the great scandal of the cross. Though it started it's life as a cruel execution device, the cross now has been turned into polished pieces of jewelry and decorations to our buildings. Though there's life and beauty in the cross, may we never forget that it carries a steep price and that our call is to carry our own. 

Not A Fan: Week 3 (Choosing Intimacy)

Looking at the story of the woman who anointed Jesus' feet in the presence of the Pharisees in Luke 7, Pastor Ken challenges us to empty ourselves out in complete intimacy with our savior--to know Him and be known by Him. Unless we're willing to let Him in, we'll continue to remain fans and never become true followers. 

Not A Fan: Week 2 ("Follow Me")

Pastor Ken delivers a punch in this message as we continue our "Not A Fan" message series. Looking at Jesus' calling of the disciple Matthew, we learn how radical his calling really was and what depth of love and belief God has in us. But Jesus' call comes with a price--to take up our cross and follow him.

In every relationship there comes a time when "the DTR talk" enters in. It's a pivotal moment when a relationship either takes a significant step forward or breaks up altogether. In this first part of our "Not A Fan" series, Pastor Ken challenges us to "define the relationship" with Jesus. Are we casual or committed? Are we fans or followers? These questions are the basis for faith and life in Jesus Christ and everything hinges on our response.

In the last part of this 4 week message series on vision for 2014 and beyond, Ken delivers a powerful message about the need to be the extension of God's compassionate hand in this world. Reaching out to those around us is fundamental to our faith and expanding the Kingdom depends on it.
